Syn-O-Ad 8484 tricresyl phosphate is one of the original triaryl phosphate antiwear additives. Is the most widly used antiwear additive and steel passivator for military and commercial aircraft gas turbine lubricants. The combination of excellent thermal stability and hydrolytic stability has been difficult to match with other additives.
